William Robert (Bob) Reeves, 38, of Bryant, slipped his silver cord that binds us to this world in icebound early morning hours of Thursday, March 5, 2015 at home, 17 Neal St. in Bryant. He loved his wife, Melanie Reeves, so dearly and he was her best friend. Bob was a better son than his mother, Nicie Smith had a right to. They grew up together, his momma child and he. Now there is a hole in her shadow where her heart and soul should be. He missed his me maw, Lena and papaw, Bill Smith so. Bob also went to meet little brother, Adam who has waited patiently. A larger family contingency awaits him beyond. Ever wise, logical, true and humorous; his friends numbered large. His judgement was trusted without doubt. Bob honored his Cherokee heritage with his braid. We have no words for goodbye. Carry on our wayward son, there is peace now you are done. Lay your weary head to rest. Don't you cry no more. His rich life included a love of music making high marks at UALR, football at Little Rock Christian, writing books, songs & poems and his guitars were his prized passion. He worked 11 years at his current job, Verizon/Alltel. But, he loved best his earlier job at Electronics Boutique, where he was always given perks, rewards and bonuses. If only our love could have saved him, he never would have died. He lost his elder Ceasar (Siberian Husky). God gave him Jack, a beautiful Siberian Husky, who guided him from depression. His Akita Akasha mourns his passing as well as Little Max who was with him at the end. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Ashby's. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saline County Humane Society. On line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
