Elsie Faye White Lowder

Elsie Faye White Lowder, age 93, of West Memphis, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2015 in Culver City, California. Elsie Faye was born Nov.14, 1921 in Tyronza. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ethel White of Marion, and her husband, Guy Lowder of West Memphis. Elsie was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis and retired from Marion High School after a 37 year teaching career. Elsie Faye is survived by her beloved daughter, Vicki Saig; devoted son-in-law, Danny Saig; and cherished grandson, Sam Saig. She leaves three sisters: Jane White Rouault of The Villages, Fla.; Sammie Bachelor of Hot Springs; and Anna Belle Bracey of Blytheville. Elsie, affectionately known as "Woosie" to family members, will be lovingly remembered by eight nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews as well as many very dear friends.
