Gladys Reynolds Lemons age 95, of Prattsville, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, March 13, 2015 in Sheridan, Ark. She was born July 22, 1919 in Dalark, Ark. to Archie Loyd and Ena Dunahoe Reynolds. Gladys was a charter member of St. Andrew United Methodist in Arkadelphia. She was very active in fixing the Men's Prayer breakfast and providing the floral arrangements for the church for 26 years. She worked in the pharmacy in San Diego, Calif. during World War II, worked at Levi's Straus in Arkadelphia, and was night manager for the Gables Restaurant in Arkadelphia. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Lemons; two brothers, Jewel Reynolds and Olen Reynolds; and one sister, Naye Shepherd Hipps. Survivors are one daughter, Jeannie Pumphrey and husband, Rex of Prattsville; one brother, Carl Reynolds of Hot Springs; three grandchildren: Rebecca Henderson and husband, Daren, Donny Pumphrey and wife, Tammi, and Kevin Pumphrey; four great-grandchildren: Kristen Pumphrey, Clint Henderson, Bethany Henderson, and Izabella Pumphrey. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 16 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Rev. Travis Langley officiating. Burial will be in DeLamar Cemetery near Manning. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Crown Point Assisted Living, Sheridan Healthcare & Rehabilitation, and Arkansas Hospice.
