Tommy N Shahan

Tommy N Shahan, age 80, of Jacksonville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Burchwood, Tenn. to the late Luther and Louise Shahan. Mr. Shahan was a retired United States Air Force Veteran where he served in a K-9 unit. He later retired from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy where he also served in a K-9 unit. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tommie Alice Shahan; four siblings: Billie Miller, Zane Shahan, LJ Shahan, and Dennis Shahan. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Shahan; nine children: Jimmy Shahan, Debbie Shahan, Laurie Greenland, Tommy Shahan, Mike Shahan, Bobby Shahan, Lori Bowers, Charlene Coke, Chris Shahan; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his loyal companion, Rico. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015 with a Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Father Andy Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or your favorite animal shelter.
