Survived by his spouse, Ruthie; three daughters, Lovie (Steven) Rainey, Dominique Reed, Sharisse (Don) Jeffries; 9 grandchildren; three brothers, Farris (Diane) McClain, Earnest (Fredia) Ingram, Pastor Cleo (Valary) Nellum; four sisters, Erma (James) Savage, Lucille Wilson, Lillie Ellis, Mary (Eddie) Williams; one aunt, Mary Louise (Haywood) Hardnett and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
