James Kendall Carter

James Kendall Carter, 85, of Greenland, died March 19, 2015 at Westwood Health & Rehab in Springdale. He was born Nov. 10, 1929 in Greenland to James Rosco and Gladys Rutherford Carter. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the oil industry. James was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed life, friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Lee Carter. He is survived by two sons, James K. Carter, Jr. of Virginia and Vol Roland Carter of California; two brothers, Jack Carter of Prairie Grove and John Carter of Farmington. Memorial graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Baptist Ford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Life Hospice 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Ark. 72762.
