Mr. Ralph A. Morgan, 67, of Wright, passed away on March 20, 2015 in Little Rock. He was born on Jan. 8, 1948 to A. L. and Helen Morgan. He was a member of the Plum Bayou Baptist Church at Wright where he taught Sunday School and organized the men's breakfast once a month. He loved to play the saxophone and piano along with fishing, gardening and taking care of his bees and chickens. He also played in the Plum Bayou Gospel Band. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary Ellen. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He also was retired from the Arkansas Department of Corrections. He loved serving his country, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with friends. He was proceeded in death by a brother, Ray Thomas Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Morgan; son, Doug; and daughter, Krista; stepson, John (Crystal) Slaughter; and stepdaughter, Dianna (James R.) Sims, both of England; One brother, Glen Morgan of Dumas; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Robison Funeral Home Chapel.
