Carroll G. Edwards

Saved at an early age, Carroll G. Edwards, age 70, went to be with The Lord of Sunday, March 22, 2015. A faithful father, devoted husband, quiet leader and strong Christian; Carroll lived life as an example of the verse, Proverbs 22:11 "A Good Name Is More Desired Than Great Riches." Carroll was preceded in death by his father and mother, Castle G. and Lottie M. Edwards; and brothers, Athelone Edwards, Wayne Edwards and Shelby Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Newkirk Edwards; children, Tanya L. Donaldson, Phillip C. Edwards and Terri L. Buell; and his two greatest assets, grandchildren Sarah C. Donaldson and Spencer C. Donaldson. He is also survived by sisters, Elizabeth Elrod and Shirley Fread; brother-in-law, John Newkirk; and sisters-in-law, Fanelle McGee, Clytine Edwards, Lillian Edwards and Debbie Newkirk. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Stuttgart.
