Mary Magdalene Longs Days

Mary Magdalene Days Longs, 91, of Sherwood, Ark. died on Monday March 23, 2015. She was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Days. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, North Little Rock, Ark., where she served as a Mother on the Mothers Board. She was also a member of the Most Worshipul St. Paul Grand Lodge A.F.&A.M. Mt. Moriah Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Arkansas. She was a volunteer at The Kids First Program, Little Rock, Ark. She was also employed by the Medical Personnel Pool, Little Rock, Ark., where she cared for Geriatric patients at St. Vincent Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Nathaniel Longs, daughter Evelyn Days Ferrand and one step son Milton Nathaniel Longs. Mother Mary was the youngest of her ten siblings all who have preceded her in death: Irene Days, Samuel Days, Jr., Elmira Days Clark, Allene Days Johnson, William Anderson Days, Estella Days Johnson, Jimmy Lee Days, Herman Days, and Lillie Days. She is survived by her children: Harold S. Longs (Rosalyn) of North Little Rock, Ark., Sandra Longs-Jones of Sherwood, Ark., and Annette Bernard (Glen) of Sherwood, Ark., one spiritual daughter, Sylvia Diggs of New Orleans, La., eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be entrusted to Premier Funeral Home of Little Rock, Ark.
