Raymond Nahlen

Raymond Nahlen age 95, of Conway, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born February 13, 1920 to Fred and Mary Nahlen in Conway, Arkansas. He is survived by his loving wife Hilda of 68 years, son, Frank (Denise) Nahlen of Bartlett, Tenn.; two daughters; Martha Nahlen of North Little Rock and Carol (Mike) Hambuchen of Conway; 5 grandsons, Raymond, David, Michael, Joey, and Matt; four great-granddaughters, Mary, Ann, Sara, and Nadia. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Paul and Martin Nahlen; sisters; Rose Marie Miller and Wilhelmina Nabholz, and one daughter-in-law, Judy Nahlen. Raymond was a life time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a World War II Army Veteran, a retired route salesman with Colonial Bakery, and also enjoyed many years of service with Nabholz Supply Company after retirement. He loved fishing and hunting with his son, son-in-law and grandsons. On Friday afternoons Raymond loved playing music with his nephews Herb and Alan and friend Richard, and on any occasion loved singing with his family and friends. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with visitation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Saint Joseph Endowment Fund, Saint Scholastica Monastery of Fort Smith or Subiaco Academy of Subiaco.
