Alice Jones Southern Blagg

Alice Jones Southern Blagg, age 96, died on March 24, 2015 in Ft. Smith. She was born in Louisiana on October 31, 1918 to William T. Sr. and Annie Violet Jones. The widow of Chancy Blagg, she was a long-time resident of Little Rock and moved to Ft. Smith in 2008. She was predeceased by her parents, first husband Charles Southern and six brothers, Ernest, Sidney, Alfred, Bill, Walter and Ralph Jones. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Ross (Roger) of Ft. Smith, a son, Ralph "Sid" Southern of Jacksonville, stepson, Chancy Blagg Jr. (Berta) of Maumelle and stepdaughter, Mary Johnson of Hagerstown, Md. Alice also leaves behind eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27th at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North in Alexander with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Bro.
