Cleffie Fay Franke

Cleffie Fay Franke, age 101, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born April 24, 1913 in Mammoth Spring, Ark., the daughter of Chris and Lillie Bates Blanton. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Walter M. Franke. Cleffie was a member of the First Christian Church in Fayetteville where she served as a Deaconist and taught Sunday school. Cleffie lived a long and blessed life by serving the Lord and helping anyone in need. She volunteered at the Attic regularly and helped set up a library for those living in Hillcrest Towers. She was a member of the Washington County Home Extension Club, she was named volunteer of the year for Fayetteville by the Kiwanis Club. She is survived by a daughter, Louise Powers of Winslow, Ark.; a son, Walter B. Franke and his wife Pat Franke who is now deceased; three grandchildren, Shane Thorpe, Jeff Thorpe and his wife Joana both of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Jennifer Westphal and her husband Cliff of Bella Vista, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren Michael, Bailey, Austin, Keagan, Alisha, Ashton Thorpe, Nat Westphal and Rachel Cox; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and Special family friends, Mary Alice Chappell, Kelly Whitson and Tim and Sherry Stewart. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31at Moore's Chapel. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Goshen Cemetery in Goshen, Arkansas.
