James Severn Conover, age 87, born Dec. 13, 1927 in Oakland, Calif, passed away March 22, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ark. Proceeded in death by Earl Conover and Emma Amelda Radmall (parents), Delbert Conover (brother), Margaret Louise Young (first wife), Margaret Sue Barnes (second wife) and Charles James Cole (grandson). Jim is survived by his children, Rebecca, Ann, Cynthia (and husband Scott), Jennifer, Tod, Martha (and husband Tom), Mary and Jim (and wife Maggie); grandchildren, Terry, Kevin, Andy, Megan, Rachel, Jonathan, Peter, Julia, David, Rebecca, Johnny, Stephen; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, Morgan, Taegan and Charlie. Jim graduated from University of California Berkeley in 1951 with a degree in mechanical engineering after serving in the US Army's 82nd Airborne as a parachutist. He worked most of his life as an engineer and project manager for McDonnell Douglas, Atlantic Richfield, and Fluor Corporation at their job sites in the Middle East and Europe. His family lived with him in Iran, England, Holland, and the United Arab Emirates. He and Margaret Sue retired in 1986 to Northwest Arkansas on land that over looked Beaver Lake. They built a home of their own design, which was frequently filled to overflowing with family and friends. His remains will be reunited with beloved wife Margaret Sue at the Grey Horse Cemetery on the Osage Reservation in Oklahoma. There will be no local service.
