Joe Ben Johnson
Joe Ben Johnson, a former resident of Siloam Springs, Ark,, passed from this life March 25, 2015.
Joe was a life- long resident of Benton County. He was a land surveyor and owner of Johnson Land Surveying. Joe loved the outdoors and tending to his fruit trees and plants and was loved by everyone who met him. He loved to talk and visit with friends of the old days playing basketball and baseball as a Decatur Bulldogs. Joe was an avid Chicago Cubs fans. He loved traveling with family and friends and riding his Segway.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Balcomb and Ben Johnson.
Joe leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Juanita; a son, Kenny Johnson of Grove Okla.; a daughter Dawn Johnson of Utah; stepchildren, Steven Van Dyke of Gentry, Phillip (Dora) Van Dyke of West Siloam, Ark., Mellody (Allan) Panzer of Houston, Texas, Missy Mehringer of Fort Worth, Texas, Vanessa (Terry) Wendt of Hawaorth, Okla.; grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Levi Johnson, Shina Huddleston, Zac Turnbull, Jenny Panzer, Robert Panzer, David Weygandt, Karissa Weygandt, Rachel Flippo, Celia Vreeland, Chris Van Dyke, Ben Stinson, Abigail Wendt and Rebekah Wendt; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Stephens and Marilyn Perrin; and a host of friends.
A gathering at the Old Decatur Gym (Currently City Hall) in Decatur, Ark. will be Monday March 30, 2015 at 7 p.m.
