Forrest Irvin Ford passed away on March 27, 2015 from complications of a stroke. He was 69. He was born on Friday, April 13, 1945 (a lucky day in his mind) in McCrory, Arkansas, and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. A job offer from McDonnell Douglas after graduation brought him to St. Louis and launched his career in computer programming. He eventually started his own firm Forrest Ford Consultants, Inc. in 1969, which grew into the largest privately owned information systems consulting firm in the mid-west with offices in St. Louis, Kansas City and Dallas. The company was repeatedly voted a finalist for the "Top 25 Small Businesses" by The St. Louis Business Journal. A great supporter of the Dale Carnegie Institute and maximizing personal potential, he was a popular speaker and gave the closing speech at the organization's 43rd International Convention/75th Diamond Jubilee. He is survived by his wife Martha Millwee Ford; daughter Laura Ford Moise, son-in-law Edward Moise, grandchildren, Madeleine Moise and Lily Moise of New Orleans; son, Mark Ford, grandchildren, Natalie Ford and Nicholas Ford of St. Louis; and mother, Eloise Ford Gaugh, sister, Carol Ford Lambert and brother, Phillip Ford, all of Arkansas.
