Clara Mae Harrod York

Clara Mae Harrod York, age 91, of Clarendon, Ark., died Wednesday April 29, at her home. Born October 14, 1923 at Ingalls, Ark., a daughter of the late Simmie Edward Harrod and Hattie Rabun Harrod she was a homemaker, member of Clarendon Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Joseph Nelson York who died April 19, 2002. They were united in marriage August 1, 1942. Survivors are two sons Joseph E. York, Roe, Ark., Earnest R. York, Trinity, Texas; one daughter, Ann Hall, Ridgeland, Miss.; one brother, Rudolph Harrod, Emmett, Ark.; two sisters, Lorene Vail, Little Rock, Ark., Patricia Mayfield, Cabot, Ark.; four grandchildren, Shane York, Christie York, Tammy Schlotzhauer, Billy Hall, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren. Also, preceding her in death were brothers; George Harrod, Narvill Harrod; sisters Lucille Hicks, Alice Mulligan, Louise Doggett. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday May 2, at Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls, Ark. Burial Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Frazer's.
