Lynda Carolyn Smith Kimbrough, 72, of Scott, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.F. "Bill" and Helen Dickinson Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, James Hugh "Jimmy" Kimbrough; her sister, Sallye SuzAnne Smith of Eureka Springs; and her two daughters, LynAnne Lassiter Ivy (Russell) of Lonoke and Holly Lassiter Hutcheson (Clint) of Benton. Lynda was a loving stepmother to Jim Kimbrough (Melissa) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jerry Kimbrough (Tanya) of Winder, Ga., and John Kimbrough (Angie) of Bryant. She loved being MiMi to her 17 grandchildren. Lynda was a 1960 graduate of Fuller High School and attended Arkansas State Teachers College. She was a hair stylist for many years and retired from the Arkansas State Board of Cosmetology where she served as a state inspector. She loved entertaining guests, shopping, gardening, oil painting, and attending her weekly Bible study with friends. Above all, being with her family was the highlight of her life. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. A celebration of Lynda's life will be Tuesday, May 5 at Woodson Cemetery in Hensley at 11:00 a.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 10:00.
