Cecil Samuel Stout, age 98, of Gentry passed away Tuesday May 5, 2015. He was born April 22, 1917 in Durham, Arkansas to Jim and Mary Pierce Stout. He was a member of Centerpoint Baptist Church in Sandusky, Oklahoma. Cecil was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Frederick Donald Stout; son in law, Chester McGaugh; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Velma Stout; two daughters, Joyce McGaugh of Winslow, Arkansas; Lois Adler and her husband Fred of Gentry, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday May 6, 2015 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow at McCord Cemetery near Elkins under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
