Donald Robert Smith,"Don", 81, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Baptist. He was born December 25, 1933 in Levy, Arkansas to the late Mack and Helen Robinson Smith. Don was a United States Air Force veteran who fought in the Korean Conflict. He trained race horses for over 50 years, was an avid outdoorsman and a great love for animals. Don was a gentleman, scholar, a well-rounded individual loved by many, well respected, a caring individual and a great cook. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Smith; children, Don Smith Jr., Robin Smith, and stepson, Kevin Fendley (Tera); by two grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah; two step-grandchildren, Addison and Hunter; and four great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jeanine Smith. A memorial tribute will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main St.).
