Donnette Arlene Schimelpfenig, age 67, a resident of Mountain Home, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left to be with Jesus on April 8, 2015. Best known as "Nana" – a designation first given by her oldest grandchild - Donnette was born in Wadena, MN on July 27, 1947. Along with her husband and family she moved to Arkansas in 1979. Our Mother created homes for her husband and children in Minneapolis and Yellville and welcomed her grandchildren to homes in Berryville and Mountain Home Arkansas and Dodge City Kansas. Regardless of the address, there was no place like Nana's. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert Schimelpfenig; her mother, Lucille Young; brothers, Russell Andrews and Faron Young; children, Dawn Dobbs of Cosby, Tenn.; Leah Hodges and husband Kevin of Lowell, Andrew Kelly Schimelpfenig and wife Krista of Rogers; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Heather, James, Joseph, and John Dobbs; Zachary and Haden Hodges; Stephanie Ash; and great-grandson, Draven Hart. She was preceded in entering her eternal home by her father, Donald Andrews; her step-father, Rollyn Young; and oldest son, Steven Schimelpfenig. A celebration of life service will take place at 10 a.m. on May 9, 2015 at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Open Doors (opendoors.org) or Jews for Jesus (jewsforjesus.org). Cremation arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.callisonlough.com.
