Modena Parks Jester 79, of of Texarkana, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Jester was born October 6, 1935 to Glen Sr. and Deliah Powell Parks in Hope, Arkansas. Modena was a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ in Texarkana, a graduate of Harding University and the owner of accounting businesses in Hope, Arkansas and Ashdown, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Mrs. Jester is survived by two sons, Charles Glenn Jester and his wife Becky of Texarkana, Arkansas and Scott Jester and his wife Sandy of Hope, Arkansas and their father, Charles Jester Sr.; one brother, Glen Parks, Jr. of Lewisville, Arkansas; one sister, Patricia McClendon of Gulf Shores, Alabama; grandchildren, Joe Kellen Jester, Alex Jester and Andrew Jester; one great-grandchild, Harper Jester. Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 between the hours of 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, Arkansas with Harold Freeman officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
