Velma Lee Johnson

Velma Lee Johnson, 81, of Springdale, Ark. passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. Velma was born on Sept. 19, 1933 in Sharon, Okla., a daughter of Paul Hagerman and Maymie Dierking Hagerman. She retired from the Fayetteville Wal-Mart Store, enjoyed needlepoint, attended the Christian Lighthouse Church and loved being with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Reta and husband Rex Johnson; three grandsons and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie David Williams; a brother, Robert Elvin Hagerman, and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. Pastor Lorne Scoggins will officiate the service.
