FRANCES VICK, 94, of North Little Rock, passed away on May 9, 2015. She was born on March 27, 1927 to the late Fred Turner and Berneice Gray Turner Tedford. Frances graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1940. She was a member of the North Little Rock Central Baptist Church for 74 years, where she worked in the church nursery for over 60 years and helped in the kitchen for the Wednesday night supper. For over 10 years, she worked as the front door "greeter" at the Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene Thrift Store. She was a 70-year member of the Eastern Star. Frances is survived by two sons, Fred Vick of North Little Rock and Curtis Vick (Linda) of Heber Springs; two granddaughters, Courtney Vick of North Little and Cari Karugireyo (David) of Kampala, Uganda; three great-granddaughters: Jurnee, Joelee, and Jackie and one due in July of Kampala, Uganda, Africa; six nieces; one nephew; and a host of loving friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Vick and her brother, Dr. Charles R. Turner. The family would like to extend special thanks to her granddaughter, Courtney, for all of her loving care and attention. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Central Baptist Church, North Little Rock; Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene, North Little Rock; or your favorite charity.
