Pauline "Jo" Violet Kolb

Pauline "Jo" Violet Kolb, age 87, of White Hall, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in Trinity Village Medical Center. Mrs. Kolb was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Plainview, Ark., a daughter of the late Thomas T. and Flora Mae McClain Marks. Mrs. Kolb was reared and received her early education in Plainview, where she attended the Yell County schools. She moved to Pine Bluff in 1948, and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She graduated from Pines Vocational Technical School and had worked as a beautician and a licensed practical nurse. She was preceded in death in 1994, by her husband, Harding Kolb, whom she married July 20, 1946; her brothers, Bill Marks, Jim Marks and Tommy Marks; and two grandchildren, Todd and Brian Kolb. Survivors include three sons, Willie Kolb, Jr. (Chris) of White Hall, Rodger Kolb of Sherwood and Paul Kolb (Pam) of Fayetteville; brother, Jackie Marks (Mary) of Fayetteville; sister, Sue Bond of White Hall; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Monday, May 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the White Hall United Methodist Church Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend James Rushing officiating.
