Elizabeth "Betty" Ray

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Ray, 67 of Murfreesboro, Ark. passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born May 23, 1947 in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Anna (Berry) Powers. Mrs. Ray was a member of the Shallowater Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband George "Mac" Ray of Murfreesboro, Ark.; children Kenneth McGraw and wife Krystie of Sanger, Texas; Jaymie Massey and husband Craig of Houston, Texas; Chet McGraw of Dallas, Texas; and Todd Ray of Kalamazoo, Miss. Step Children Keith Ray and wife Sharon of Mabelvale, Ark.; and Jennifer Pippenger and Jesse of Fort Smith, Ark.; Siblings include Doug Powers and wife Phala of Hanna, Wyo. Jane Powers of Omaha, Neb.. Katie Howard of Grand Island, Neb. Gary Powers and wife Virginia of Denver, Colo.. Bill Powers of Los Angeles, Calif. Robert Powers and wife Cathy of Santa Clarita, Calif. Ron Powers and wife LaDonna of Grand Island, Neb. and Beverly Welch and husband Fletcher of White Hall, Ark.; as well as eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating, burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville, Ark.; under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
