Edward G. Harris

Sr. MSgt. Edward G. Harris, 77 of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away on Sunday, May 17. Born in Quitman, Ark., to parents Leonard and Ruby Grissom Harris, he is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Lonnie F. Harris and Wayne Harris; and sisters, Merle Gentry and Carolyn Stewart. He is survived by his son, Brent Edward Harris; daughters, Kimberly Harris (Leonard) Hall, and Kristi Harris (Michael) Matthews; grandchildren A. J. Hall, Drew, Ethan and Sawyer Grant Matthews. Ed served 42 years in the Arkansas Air National Guard, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was an avid and dedicated golfer with many friends at the Little Rock AFB Golf Course. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held beginning at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, followed by funeral service beginning at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
