Chester Arthur May, of Little Rock, died peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2015. He was born February 15, 1919 in Walcott, Arkansas to the late Racie Herbert and Tilda Mae May. He was a longtime member & deacon of Immanuel Baptist Church. Chester served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was the owner & operator of May's Citgo in downtown Little Rock for over 40 years and retired from Coulson Oil. Chester is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Christine May and his grandson, Scott May. He is survived by his children, Jerry May (Kay) of Richmond, Texas, Sharon Northern (Bud) of Little Rock and Mark May (Shelly) of Fayetteville. Ten grandchildren, Blayne Northern (Debbie) of Cabot, Meredith May (Tracy) of Sugar Land, Texas, Chris May (Robin) of Katy, Texas, Nikki Chumley (Brett) of Benton, Susana May of Richmond, Texas, Dustin May (Karen) of Fayetteville, Lacy Smith (Mark) of Dallas, Texas, Haley May of Dallas, Texas, Max May and Maggie May, both of Fayetteville and eleven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkway Heights with special thanks to Vicki Callan. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, (501) 224-8300. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
