Jay A. Leek

Jay A. Leek, 63, of Roland, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2015. He was born December 23, 1951 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Milton and Pauline Manis Leek. He graduated in 1973 from Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City, Okla. receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education. He was a long-term entrepreneur owning multiple businesses, with the most recent being in natural health care. He served in full time ministry in various capacities for twelve years and continued in ministry throughout his life to enhance the lives of many people around him. He pursued his education on a Master's level at Lubbock Christian University. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and served as a deacon at several congregations. Jay was a private pilot, and he loved to fly. He also loved traveling in his motor home to visit new places and especially enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles and antique cars. Jay is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janie Hoagland Leek; son, Jay Leek II (Fabiana) of New York; daughter, Jaynelle Binns (Mason) of Little Rock; grandson, Maxson Binns; sister, Joy Stryzek (David) of Glasgow, Kentucky; and many others whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Eadon and Marjorie Bradley; and brother, Richard Leek. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Chenal Valley Church, 16025 Taylor Loop Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72223, (501) 868-9808. Burt Reynolds will officiate. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander.
