Jo Trotter Lawson

Jo Lawson, 87, died Thursday. Born December 6, 1927 in Roe she became a graduate of Roe High School and received a master's degree from Ole Miss. The years of educating students included teaching in the schools of Dumas, Blytheville, Clarendon and Stuttgart. She and husband, Wiley operated a successful cattle and farming business in Roe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Lillian Trotter, husband, Wiley Lawson, son, David Lawson, grandson, Daniel Cone, brothers, Cary and Fletcher Trotter. Survivors include three daughters; Melinda (Willie) Hoover, Sarah (Burton) Moore and Carey (Wink) Weaver, daughter-in-law, Cindy Lawson, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
