Cornelia Purifoy

CORNELIA PURIFOY, of Little Rock, passed away May 20, 2015. She was born in Prescott, Ark. to Charlie and Martha Haynie, and attended Greater Archview Baptist Church where she was a member of the Jolly Bunch Club. She was a baker for the Little Rock Public School's cafeterias at Jefferson Elementary and, prior to integration, at Central High School, then retired from Brady Elementary. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Purifoy, and five siblings, she is survived by great-nephews, Jon Nayles of Little Rock and David Nayles of Houston, and their mother, Dorothy of Little Rock; nieces, Bridgette, Martha, Maxine, Lucy and Jennifer; nephews, Ervin and Donald; great-great-nephew, Jonathan; caregiver, Traci Martin; and other family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at Greater Archview Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ken Martin, followed by interment at Haven of Rest Cemetery.
