Virginia (Ginger) Pack

Virginia (Ginger) Pack, 88, passed away on Nov. 15, 2014 at Columns Care Home in Tustin, Calif. Mom had been a resident there for the last two years before suffering a major stroke. Ginger was born on Feb. 10, 1926 in Little Rock, Ark., to parents, Lee and Annie Kelone, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were husband and best friend, Robert Pack, and her three brothers Lee, Earl, and Linus Patrick Kelone. She is survived by son David Pack and wife Ginger of Palmer, Alaska, and daughter April Lemmer and husband Robert of Aliso Viejo, Calif. Also three grandchildren; Erin Davis and husband BJ of Mountain Home, Ark., Cobey Pack of Palmer, Alaska, and, Caleb Brewer and wife Bridget of Crested Butte, Colo.; five great-grandchildren; Cobey Pack II, Samuel Pack, Slevin Pack, Hadley Brewer, and Corbin Brewer. We will miss the mom who was always first down the hill on the sled, awesome bonfire maker, Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader, dance costume maker, and lover of music. Mom was also an avid reader, and volunteered at Terry Elementary School in the library. She was the ultimate homemaker and always there! We would like to extend a special thanks to the Apex Hospice Team. There is no way that we could have made it through this difficult time without them. Also we would like to thank and acknowledge the incredible caregiver team at Column's Care Home – Jovy, Grace and John. They were so loving and thoughtful the entire time that mom was in their care. We were blessed to find them and they will be forever in our hearts and part of our extended family. Ginger's wishes were to be cremated. We will bring her home in June. Memorial service will be private. Memorials may be donated to the YWCA, Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts.
