Lois Mae "Jackie" Gregory

Lois Mae "Jackie" Gregory, 84, of Rogers, passed away surrounded by her family at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Sunday, May 24, 2015. Jackie was born July 18, 1930 in Chester, Arkansas to Orville and Mattie Pearl Lane Satterfield. She grew up and attended school in Chester. She married Dawl E. Gregory on July 22, 1950. They were married for 61 years prior to his passing in January 2012. She also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Wanda Weaver and one brother Cecil Satterfield. Dawl and Jackie moved to Rogers in 1954 where they raised their family. They were member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers for many years. Jackie retired from Tom & Jerry's Shoe Store in Rogers, where she was a sales clerk and manager for 20 years. Anyone living in Rogers in the 70's and 80's probably was fitted for a pair of shoes by Jackie. Jackie was a wonderful cook and was known for feeding the group of neighborhood boys who played sports with her sons. Jackie loved the Razorbacks and watched them play football, basketball and basketball. She enjoyed all the holidays spending time with her grandchildren. Her loving spirit will be cherished by all who knew her. Jackie is survived by one sister, Allene McAllister and husband Richard of Alma, Ark.; two sons Roger Gregory and wife Darlene and Kim Gregory all of Rogers; the light of her life were her two grandchildren Micah Gregory of Bentonville and Lindsey Gregory of Rogers. Also surviving her are special nieces Wanda Tidwell and husband Joe of Burnett, Texas, Margaret Parsley and husband Otis of Midland, Texas and Kay Wilhite and husband Ikey of Alma, Ark. She had a special place in her heart for her thirteen great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday; May 27, 2015 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers with Mr. Jackie Chesnutt officiating.
