Robert Ted Griffith

Robert "Ted" Griffith, 67, of Benton, went to be with the Lord May 23, 2015 with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Born October 14, 1947 in Ravenden Springs, Ark. to Neil and Berniece Griffith, Ted started his banking career at the age of 18, served his six year tuenure in the United States Air Force and obtained his degree in banking from the University of Wisconsin before retiring as Vice President after 29 years. He attended Salem United Methodist Church with his beloved church family. Preceded in death by his parents, Ted is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 27 years, Rebecca Bragg Griffith, four children, Darrin Griffith (kerry), Selena Griffith, Michael Shane Griffith (Sheila) and Toni Blackford. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Cody Bonner, Nicole Clements and Ethan Blackford; and three siblings, Ronald Griffith (Trudy), David Griffith (Dianna) and Delene Blansett. Visitation Wednesday, May 27 2-3 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 1647 Salem Road, Benton, Ark. 72019. Memorial service to follow with Carlton Cross officiating. The family requests donations to Salem UMC, in lieu of flowers. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation of Little Rock Ark., (501) 975-1002.
