Terry Lamar Johnson

TERRY LAMAR JOHNSON, 68, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. He was born Dec. 5, 1946 in North Little Rock to the late Darrius Lamar and Neva Schmitt Johnson. Mr. Johnson served his community as a fire fighter with the Jacksonville Fire Department for 27 years, retiring as a Captain. After retirement, he worked at Homer Adkins Elementary School, where he was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Johnson was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and had hunted every year for 50 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Shirlee Norton Johnson, daughter, Terri Lynn Williams, step-children; Lisa Taylor, Robert Stanley, Daniel Green, Mike Green and David Green, sister, Diane Thornton and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A gathering to celebrate Mr. Johnson's life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
