John Aubrey Jaynes
JOHN AUBREY JAYNES had a nice dinner at home with a full table of family Halloween night, and afterwards as his grandchildren dressed to go trick or treating, he lay down at the age of 78 never to awaken due to heart disease as a result of diabetes.
He left behind his wife of 54 years, Avay Jaynes (nee Gray); daughter, Karen (Tom) Horton; son, Ronald (Diane) Jaynes; daughter, Shannon (Jim) Cook; son, Brian Jaynes; daughter, Johnna (Tracy) Feldman; a sister, Louise Davis; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Corene Jaynes; sisters, Margaret Hurst & Linda Kay Millirons; and grandchild, Arianna Jaynes.
He served in the Arkansas Air National Guard; spent a 37 year career at AT&T Southwestern Bell; and then enjoyed 24 years of retirement. He was a faithful member of The Church of Christ attending in Maumelle. He was a kind man who lived a good life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home at 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
