Robert Griffin Harris

Robert Griffin Harris, 48, of Russellville, passed away Oct. 29, 2015, along with his brother, Wesley Harris and sister, Julie Harris Lefevre. The son of John and Carol (Bailey) Harris, he was born Sept. 25, 1967 in Norman, Okla. He was a 1986 graduate of Pulaski Academy in Little Rock and a 1991 graduate of the University of Arkansas. He married Angie Jones on Feb. 2, 1996 in Russellville. He was the general manager of Valley Motors in Russellville for 20 years. He was a member of New Life Church in Russellville. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was known to many as "Daddy Bob" which is what his grandchildren called him. He enjoyed hunting with Bailey and Wes at their family ranch, riding his Harley with Angie and their Texas friends, hanging out with his grandbabies, being at the farm with his dad, and flying. Grandview Ranch in Yell County and Cancun were his favorite two places. He was an amazing cook and great mentor for his girls. His best friends were his daughter, Bailey, his dogs and his life-long friend, Tom Ryan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow Wilson "Dee" Bailey and Jean Wesley Bailey, Burl and Carmen Harris; and uncle, Edward Harris. Survivors include wife, Angie Harris of Russellville; two children, Bailey Harris of Russellville and Stacey Knoernschild and husband, Shane of Little Rock; three grandchildren: John Griffin, Lynnlee Kate, and Whitt Ray Knoernschild of Little Rock; his parents; brother-in-law, Kile Lefevre; sister-in-law, Heather Harris; nieces and nephews: Jessica and Jonathan Greathouse, Charlie Campbell, Landon Lefevre, Josh and Hailey Goodridge, and Jayden Simko; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Linda Jones; sister-in-law, Sherri Carter; brother and sister-in-law, John David Jones and Teresa Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; best friend, Tom Ryan; and all the employees of Valley Motors whom he loved dearly. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Russellville. Burial will be private. Pastor Gail Brooks and Pastor Mark Pagley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at New Life Church in Russellville. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
