Thurman George Jr., known as "Junior", age 65, passed away Oct. 31, 2015 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Ark. He was born Sept. 10, 1950 in Batesville, Ark. to Thurman and Anna Mae Hale George. He graduated from Timbo High School in 1968. While attending Arkansas Tech Universty, he met and married the love of his life, Gevena Chronister George, Dec. 20, 1970. To this union, two wonderful children were born, Renee and Christopher. His family was the light of his life. He retired from Stone County Medical Center in 2002 having worked as head of the lab for 28 years. He then began farming where he would sit and watch his cattle for hours. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy George Dargis; and an infant brother and sister. Left to mourn his loss are his wife of almost 45 years, Geneva; daughter, Renee; and son, Christopher, wife, Chelsea George. His fur babies, Roxy and Blu will miss him greatly. He is also survived by sister-in–law, Fannie Phillips; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Pullen and Stan Dargis; four nephews, two nieces, two great nieces, three great nephews; and many loving cousins and friends. He was member of Lindsey Masonic Lodge #292 in Timbo, Ark. He attended Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Nov. 2, 2015 at Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Ark. from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Nov. 3, 2015 at Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo at 2 p.m. with Junior Barham officiating. Burial will be at Timbo Cemetery in Timbo, Ark. Arrangements are by Roller Crouch Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Timbo Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 14, Timbo, Ark. 72680.
