Codi Leigh Rice

Codi Leigh Rice, age 19 of Cabot, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015, as the result of a car accident. She was born September 19, 1996 in Searcy, Arkansas. Codi graduated from Cabot High in 2015. She was attending Arkansas State University – Beebe. Codi was teaching the 4 year old pre-kindergarten program for the Beebe School District while attending college. She attended New Life Church in Cabot. Codi was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Larry D. O'Cain and paternal grandfather, Garland ‘Jigs" Rice. She is survived by her parents, Melanie and Todd Venable of Cabot; three siblings, Elgin Venable of Little Rock, Sydney and Sinjun Venable, both of North Little Rock; maternal grandparents, John and Nancy Hunt of North Little Rock; paternal grandparents, Loren and Dorothy Venable of Ozark, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Rice of Ward; Joseph Rice; four uncles, Chris (Lisa) O'Cain of Morrilton, Garland "Butch" (Robin) Rice of Beebe, Mark (Lisa) Venable of Brookline, Missouri, Tim (Michelle) Venable of Ozark, Missouri; four cousins, Christi O'Cain of North Little Rock, Garland Rice, Katelyn Walburn and Colt Rice, all of Beebe; a host of numerous other relatives and friends. Codi never met a stranger and if you met her you loved her. She could light up a room with her presence. Her smile would melt your heart. She touched so many lives with her amazing and beautiful spirit. She especially loved all children and all animals. She will forever be our angel and the moon and stars will forever shine brighter. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at New Life Church in Cabot with James Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
