Lexy Marea Simpkins

Lexy Marea Simpkins, 20, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. She was born on March 16, 1995 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coming from a loving and close family, Lexy had a special bond to the ones she loved. She enjoyed competitive cheerleading for many years, as well as shopping, traveling, trips to the beach, and taking pictures with family and friends. She had the willingness to help anyone. Lexy is a 2012 graduate of Cabot High School, and attended the University of Fayetteville, and Arkansas State University Beebe. She worked at the pharmacy in Fred's, and she volunteered with many clubs and organizations. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Thelma Starkey, Leroy and Hazel Jensen, Charles Womack, Thurman Lesley and Ellen Simpkins; uncle, Larry Cash, and her dog, Tootsie. Lexy is survived by her mother and step-father, Angee and Richard Kennedy; father, Paul Simpkins; brother, Boots Kennedy; step-brother, Richard Kennedy II; half-brother, Christian Paul, grandparents, Donnie and Charlotte Jensen, Laura Dussex, and William Simpkins; step-grandparents, Carol Sue and Eugene Jones, and Randy Kennedy; great-grandparents, David Neil Evans, Kern Kennedy, and Jean Womack; Aunts and Uncles, Melissa and Steven James, Trudie Long, and Whit Simpkins; and cousins, Carson Cash, Amber Watson, Michael James, Josh James, and Craig James. Visitation will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 6-8 p.m, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, November 6, at New Life Church in Cabot, 201 S. 10th Street.
