Danny J Bolin

Danny J. Bolin, age 65, passed away on Nov. 5, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born on Jan. 5, 1950 in Waldron, Ark., the son of the late Patrick B. and Winona J. Bolin. Dan was a graduate of Rogers High School, and the University of Arkansas. He served for two years in Vietnam while in the US Army. He had owned NW Cement Contractors since 1975. An avid outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed his home as well as Beaver Lake and the Buffalo River. His persistence and patience made him a excellent craftsman which can be seen in the musical instruments and woodwork he created. He had many other interests and talents including his love of music and he spent a great deal of time playing guitar. Dan was preceded in the untimely deaths of two sons Benjamin Bolin (1986-2007) and Kristopher Bolin (1981-2010), and nephew Jason Mooney (1983-2006). He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Scherrie Combs Bolin of the home, a son Dustin Bolin and wife Jenny, sisters Patsy Bolin Mooney, and Nancy Bolin, beloved grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His presence will be missed by those who knew his spirit, good humor, and compassionate nature. A Memorial Service in celebration of Dan's life will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Rogers at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Camp Orr, c/o The Boy Scouts of America or a charitable organization of your choice.
