Charles Allen Welch

Charles Allen Welch, 77, of Bentonville Arkansas, passed away on November 6th, 2015 surrounded by his family at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Charles was born in Joplin, Missouri on May 20th, 1938 to Rollie and Ruby Welch. Charles retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He served in many places including Korea, Germany, Japan and two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed working on clocks, golf, chess and scratch off lottery tickets. Charles is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hilde Welch. They were married on March 13th 1959 in Baumholder Germany. Charles is also survived by his mother, Ruby Welch, his sisters, Carol Frisinger and Sharon Haynes, his children, John Welch, Frankfurt, Germany, Charles Welch Jr., Joplin, Mo., Randy Welch, Enterprise, Ala., Collette Welch, Bentonville AR.
