Diane Gillison

Diane Gillison, 72, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Loyd Gillison and David Fetters Gillison Sr. Diane attended Lake Village Schools and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a school counselor for the Garland, Texas School District for many years before retiring back to Lake Village. Diane was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was very active serving as an Elder and many other positions in the church. She was an active member of the Century Club of Lake Village She had a great love for her five nieces and nephews and seven great ones who fondly called her "Aunt Di." She held great affection for her horses and dogs with who she spent endless hours. Diane is survived by her brother, David F. Gillison of Lake Village and her twin sister, Marianne Gillison Dunn (Ronnie) of McKinney, Texas. Also surviving her are William Stacey Gillison (Linda) and her nieces and nephews, Sara Gillison Logan (Chris), David Loyd Gillison (Hope), Michael Nelson Dunn (Cheraina), Jennifer Dunn Wilson (Dennis) and Sarah Kathryn Dunn Gaulden. Private Graveside Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015, followed with Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 14 with a reception afterwards in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Village, Arkansas.
