Mynne E Coven

Mynne E. Coven, 94, of Conway, Arkansas died Monday November 2, 2015 at Southridge Assisted Living. She was born September 15, 1921 in Camden Township, Ohio to the late Robert J. and Maude E. Davidson. She graduated from Camden Township High School in 1939 and married her husband Warren B. Coven on June 3, 1942. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and knitting. She also traveled extensively visiting all 50 states and many countries throughout the world. In addition, she enjoyed the many summers spent at the family cottage on Mullet Lake, Michigan with her husband, children and other family members. Before moving to Arkansas in 1958, she was very active in the Order of Eastern Stars serving in numerous positions within that organization. In Arkansas, she lived in Searcy, Hot Springs, and finally Conway. In Searcy and Hot Springs she was very involved with the First Methodist Church, singing in the choirs and participating in other church related groups and activities. She also sang with the "Sweet Adelines" while living in Hot Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren B. Coven in 1989. Those surviving include her two children, David R Coven LTC (ret) of Newberry, Michigan and Wendy (Coven) Dodge of Conway, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Joan, son-in-law Randy; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. According to her wishes she was cremated. Burial in Camden Township cemetery, Ohio will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the Methodist Church of Arkansas or to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
