Patty White Jenkins

Patty White Jenkins, 85, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was born in Hampton, Arkansas. Pat was reared in Pine Bluff and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1947. She attended Ouachita Baptist University at Arkadelphia and was a member of the Ouachita Baptist University Choir. Pat moved to Little Rock in 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a past member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club, the Little Rock Club and the Little Rock Racquet Club. She served on The Little Rock Censor Board and was a charter member of Education First, organized for preserving neighborhood school and starting Pulaski Academy. She worked on the staffs of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff; First Baptist Church, Russellville; First Baptist Church, Fayetteville; and Second Baptist Church, Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Bowman White and Vera Landers White of Pine Bluff. Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Jim Jenkins; her daughter; Deborah Lynn Clevenger, and her husband, Bert, of Hot Springs Arkansas; one grandson, Logan Matthew Rockwell, and his wife Karen and one granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Cude, and her husband, Jeremy; two great-grandchildren; one brother, James Ray White and his wife, Patricia, of Little Rock; two nephews, one great-nephew and two great-nieces. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
