Pollard Imogene

Photo of Pollard Imogene
Imogene Huett Pollard of Morrilton, patiently waited for 90 years for God to call her home. Early on the morning of November 18th, she left her wonderful life here and entered paradise through Heaven's gates. Love is patient, love is kind. The daughter of the late Elmer and Esther Stroud, born August 7, 1925 in Jerusalem, Arkansas. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. She was very unassuming as she stood alongside the two determined politicians that held her heart for 63 years. The first Jim Hays Huett until his death in 1984, and then Odell Pollard until his death in March 2015. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves. Ever the consummate Mother and Civic leader, she devoted countless years as a Lifetime member of the Morrilton PTA and President of the Adelaide Club and as well as it's District, in the GFWC. Love never fails. Love never failed her, whether raising her own children and families or loving her new children and their families. Imogene is survived by her children Jamie Huett (Pam), Tommy Huett (Becky), and Mary Jane Norman (Tommy), her step children Laura Roussel (Scott), Paula Gray (Bill), and Mark Pollard (Dana), and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law. She was predeceased by her siblings and two husbands. And these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love......Mother, your love sustains us as God gently welcomes you home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 20, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
