Bobby Ray Morris

Bobby Ray Morris, of Memphis, Tennessee, died November 19, 2015 with his wife by his side. Bobby ("Bob") was born on March 17, 1941 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Ida Ruth Morris and Floyd Morris. Bob was an honest, hardworking, humorous, and straight-forward man with a generous heart. His family was of the utmost importance to him and he treasured nothing more than to be surrounded by his loved ones, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved football his whole life. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Morris, his mother, Ida Ruth Morris, and his sister, Shirley Morris. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol, and his six children: Bobbi Lynn Morris Hershey (Tommy), Kellie Morris Childers (Jim), Tony Morris (Lisa), Terri Morris McKown (Robbie), Donna Hart Wilding (Perry), and Leslie Auld Pappas (Dean); and also by his 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Lonoke Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Pallbearers will be: Steven Morris, Dustin Morris, Corey McKown, Cole McKown, Robbie McKown, Tommy Grant, Jim Childers, Seth Bridges, Micheal Vaden, and Dean Pappas.
