Robert S. McFarlane Jr.

Robert S. McFarlane Jr. was born November 14, 1932, to his parents, Virginia Guy Hardee and Robert S. McFarlane Sr. in Greenville, Mississippi, and passed away November 20, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 83. Bob graduated from Cleveland, Mississippi High School and Mississippi State University. He fulfilled his military obligation serving in the United States Air Force, flying B-25s and B-36s, stationed at Ramey Air Base in Puerto Rico. He returned to the south and moved to Pine Bluff, hiring out as a pilot for local businesses there. Eventually, he turned to commercial construction where he spent the remainder of his working career. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter. Bob is survived by his wife, Cindy; a son, Guy, of Dallas, Texas; and a daughter, Kay, also of Dallas, Texas; a stepdaughter, Caitlin Williams and husband, Carey, and grandchildren, Scott Hughes, Dakota Travis, and Chelsea Travis. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015, at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas, under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville, Arkansas. www.hardwickefuneral.com.
