Ronald Carlton Love

Ronald Carlton Love of Cassville, Mo., died peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark., on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, of 45 years; sons, Gilbert and Ronald Jr. of Sacramento, Calif., Dennis of Elkins, Ark., Mark (Wendy) of Forest Hill, Calif.; daughters, Rhonda Love of Tulsa, Lori Carathers (Kevin) of Kellyville, Okla.; a sister, Shirley Gay (Harold) of Springdale; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was born to Gilbert and Rita Love on Oct. 5, 1933 and lived his early life on a turkey ranch in Sacramento enjoying a full and active childhood. He graduated from San Rafael Military Academy. His two great loves were flying and race cars, and he fulfilled them with both passion and expertise. He owned Loves Charter Service in California. When the family moved to Springdale in 1975 he operated an auto repair shop specializing in Fiat Automobiles. Ron raced cars of many types with many trophies to show for his efforts. In later years he continued his love for flight by mentoring his two good buddies, Dennis and Tim, as they built their own planes. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ronald Jr., and a grandson, Dawayne A. Love. A memorial service was Saturday, November 21, with Heritage Funeral Home, online guest book at www.heritageofnwa,com.
