Estella Jane Hoffman was born in Norfork, Arkansas, October 22, 1930. She passed away November 21, 2015. Her parents were Jack and Coye Bonner. Her maternal grandparents were Dr. Z.T. and Octavia Sheid and her paternal grandparents were Sidney J. and Estella Hutcheson. Estella completed her education at Arkansas State Teachers College and enjoyed a long career as a teacher, GCE coordinator and counselor. In a career that spanned 30 years, she worked in the Norfork, Mountain Home, Salina, Kansas and Pulaski County School Districts. Estella also served as a Baxter Regional Hospital volunteer and on the executive board and also as a mentor for foster children through the Department of Human Services. As a member of the Methodist Church she was a teacher for the Seeker's Sunday School Class. Surviving Estella are her daughters, Julie (Mike) Williamson of the Woodlands, Texas and Polly (Bob) Roten of Fayetteville, Arkansas, grandson, Seth (Crystal) Roten and great grandchildren, Faith and Cason Roten, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and a sister, Jan (Vince) Yurkowski of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Ima Nell and Jackie Sheid Raney and brother, Drew Bonner, both husbands, Clive Gustafson and Robert Hoffman and a grandson, Gus Robert Roten. A Celebration of Life in her memory will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, with the Reverend Tom Frase officiating. A private family graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, or the Norfork Scholarship Fund, or to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
