Monty Gee

Monty Gee, 74, of Hamburg, died Sunday, November 22, 2015. Mr. Gee was a native and life long resident of Hamburg. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1959. He was a retired insurance salesman, having worked for the Ashley Life Insurance Company for over 30 years and, at one time, he sold cars for Murphy Motor Company. He loved family and deer camp gatherings, loved carrying on with people, he always had a good joke and was always looking for a way to get something over on someone. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Lovelle (Sully) and Wilma Huffsletter Gee. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Barry Gee; a son, Brad Gee, both of Hamburg; a brother, Donny Gee and wife, Gladys, of Walker, Louisiana; a sister, Rita Adams of DeRidder, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lloyd Townsend and Bro. Ernest King officiating. Burial will be in the Cleveland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jack Ed Gee, John Gee, Wayne Baumgardner, Clifton Berry, Todd Gee and Jody Adams. Honorary pallbearers are Berry Dolan and Jim Fryar.
